Happy swimming days ahead, put your feet up relax and kick back, enjoy the scenery. Your writing is always a delight to read. Good luck to you both on this next journey you are on. Take care lovely.
So lovely to have you along for the ride Jo :-) I imagined I was sending an email letter to you when I was writing it, just like the old days (but without the swearing!!! Ha!.) Helped the words flow. Love you LOTS! Xx
Thanks Trace! By god I can waffle on hey? ;-) I've made a commitment to myself to swim everyday that we are here. Tonight I did four laps (not without stopping) just before the storms rolled in - I could see them coming. Thunder and lightening in the distance. Then I bolted for the indoor spa ;-) Xx
Sounds like it’s all going ok. Great catch up. Not having had radiation as part of my scc surgery I can’t offer any support or advice other than this...it can tired him out and cause skin irritation amongst other things but being where you are Doug’s team will help in any matters of concern. Well done you both on such good accommodation! Take care, swim for fun and best wishes to Doug, long haul but worth it. Denyse x
Thank you lovely Denyse! The Team at The Alfred have been outstanding so far. No question too silly and nothing is too much trouble. Extremely attentive to Doug's physical limitations. Thanks for the advise. I spent 30 mins in the spa this evening watching the storms roll across the skyline. Quite magical. Xx
Sending hugs and love ... Am following you journey with great interest -fully understand what both you and Doug are enduring ... Bill had a squamous cell carcinoma on his jawbone -12 hour op plus bone and skin grafts followed by 7 weeks of radiation, that mask is like something out of a sci fi movie! ... our accomodation was on-site at Peter Mac (new one which had just opened) convenient but not as luxurious as where you are!! Take care - look after yourself (oops there's that EPUY bossiness coming out again) ... love ya xx
My dear Val, such a HUGE undertaking for Bill to endure and for you to hand hold through. It's a tough gig for both parties stumbling through in your own ways isn't it! I'm so pleased you both navigated your way through to the other side. Not without scars of the unseen kind and not without joy from the most unexpected of people and places, I'm sure. Thanks so much for stopping by. Much love, Sandra. Xx
